Version of 30 August 2026. This Policy is drawn up in accordance with Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 "On Personal Data".
1. Data controller
The controller of personal data processed on the website educompasshub.com (the "Site") is the owner of the Site:
This Policy explains what data of Site users is processed, for what purpose, on what legal basis, who receives it, and how a user can exercise their rights.
2. What data we process
The Site is an information aggregator of courses. No registration is required, and the Site has no forms for entering personal data. We process the following categories of data:
- Technical data sent by your browser: IP address, browser and operating system type and version, screen resolution, language, referring page address (referer), request time. This data ends up in web server logs.
- Cookies and local identifiers: the interface language cookie, the cookie storing your decision in the cookie banner, and identifiers of analytics services. The full list is in the Cookie Policy.
- Analytics data: anonymised visit statistics, pages viewed, traffic sources, events (course card view, affiliate link click, offer click) collected by Google Analytics 4 and Yandex Metrica. Yandex Metrica runs with Webvisor enabled — a tool that records cursor movements, scrolling, clicks and interaction with page elements to analyse the usability of the Site. Webvisor does not record the contents of password fields; the Site has no forms for entering personal data.
- Correspondence data: if you e-mail us — the sender's address, name (if given) and the content of the message.
- Form data: if forms appear on the Site (for example a review form), the list of data collected will be shown next to the form and this Policy will be updated before the form goes live.
We do not collect special categories of personal data (health, beliefs, etc.) or biometric data, and we do not process payment data: course purchases take place on the schools' websites.
3. Purposes of processing
- Operating the Site: displaying pages in the chosen language, remembering your cookie decision, protecting against failures and abuse.
- Analytics: understanding which sections and courses interest users, assessing interface usability, fixing errors.
- Counting click-throughs to school websites in aggregate form (a click counter not linked to a user) and as an analytics event.
- Responding to enquiries from users and schools, correcting factual errors, handling personal data requests.
4. Legal basis
- Consent of the data subject (Article 6(1)(1) of Law 152-FZ) — for processing cookies and analytics data. Consent is given via the cookie banner on the Site; until consent is given, analytics counters may not run depending on the Site's settings.
- Processing needed to answer an enquiry — by sending an e-mail you provide your data voluntarily in order to receive a reply.
- The controller's legitimate interest in keeping the Site operational and secure — for technical web server logs.
5. Sharing data with third parties
We share data only to the extent necessary for the stated purposes:
- Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) — technical identifiers and anonymised visit data. Data may be processed on servers outside the Russian Federation (cross-border transfer). Google's policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Yandex LLC (Yandex Metrica, Webvisor) — technical identifiers, visit data and page interaction data. Yandex's policy: yandex.ru/legal/confidential.
- Affiliate networks and schools — when you follow an affiliate link, only the destination address and the technical identifier of our placement are passed on; we do not pass any user personal data to them. Further processing on the websites of affiliate networks and schools is governed by their own policies.
- Hosting provider — storage of server logs as part of hosting the Site.
We do not sell personal data and do not share it with third parties for marketing mailings.
6. Retention periods
- Cookies — for the periods set out in the Cookie Policy (from the session to 2 years).
- Data in analytics systems — for the periods configured in those services: Google Analytics 4 — up to 14 months; Yandex Metrica — in accordance with Yandex's policy.
- Web server logs — up to 90 days.
- Correspondence — up to 3 years from the last message or until consent is withdrawn.
Once the purpose of processing is achieved or consent is withdrawn, data is deleted or anonymised.
7. Rights of the data subject
Under Articles 14 and 20 of Law 152-FZ you have the right to:
- find out whether we process your personal data and which data exactly;
- request that data be corrected, blocked or destroyed if it is incomplete, outdated, inaccurate or obtained unlawfully;
- withdraw your consent to processing;
- appeal against the controller's actions to Roskomnadzor or in court.
Requests are sent to the controller's e-mail address (section 1) stating which data and which action you are requesting. We reply within 10 business days of receiving the request.
8. How to withdraw consent
- Cookies and analytics: change your decision via the cookie banner on the Site, or delete cookies and block them in your browser settings. Instructions are in the Cookie Policy. To opt out of Google Analytics data collection you can use the Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on; for Yandex Metrica — the "Yandex Metrica Blocker" extension.
- Correspondence: send an e-mail asking us to delete your data to the controller's address.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
9. Data protection
The Site runs over HTTPS. Access to the administrative area and logs is restricted and password-protected; editorial accounts are excluded from analytics counters. We do not store users' personal data in the Site's database beyond technical logs and correspondence.
10. Children
The Site is not addressed to persons under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their data. The exam preparation and children's learning section is intended for parents.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when legislation, analytics services or Site features change. The current version is always available at /privacy/ with its date. Material changes are announced on the Site.
12. Contacts
For personal data matters: the editorial e-mail address. Other contacts are on the Contacts page.
Consent to the processing of personal data
By clicking "Accept" in the cookie banner on the Site (no analytics cookies are set before that), and by sending an enquiry by e-mail, the user freely, of their own will and in their own interest consents to the controller (section 1) processing their personal data to the extent set out in section 2, for the purposes set out in section 3, including collection, recording, systematisation, accumulation, storage, updating, retrieval, use, transfer to the third parties listed in section 5 (including cross-border transfer to Google LLC), anonymisation, blocking, deletion and destruction, using automated means.
The consent is valid for the periods set out in section 6 and may be withdrawn in the manner described in section 8. The user confirms that they have read this Policy and the Cookie Policy.
